Restorative Outdoor Experiences for Veterans

More than a hunting trip

Timber and Valor: Our Hunt Camps Are Only The Beginning

Hunting is the reason we gather, but what happens around the campfire is what matters most. We want the Timber and Valor experience to extend beyond the Hunt Camp and for veterans to leave with more than memories of a hunt. They should gain a mentor, friends, and people they can call when life gets hard.

How we started

The idea for Timber and Valor Foundation took shape in January 2026 with a simple goal: to offer hunting and mentorship to help veterans reconnect, heal, and build lasting support networks. After developing the organization’s mission, programs, and vision for what we hoped Timber and Valor would become, we received 501(c)(3) nonprofit status in June 2026 and launched our first Hunt Camps in Fall 2026 — an Archery Camp in September and a Rifle Camp in November.

What makes us different

We design our programs to be personal and supportive. Each veteran attending a Hunt Camp is paired with a mentor who shares a similar MOS (military occupational specialty) and background. That shared experience creates immediate common ground and helps mentors and participants connect more quickly.

The relationship continues after the Hunt Camp through Rally Point, our 12-week mentorship program. Rally Point aims to turn camp connections into ongoing support and a community that lasts long after the hunting trip ends.

Family-centered care

Our Hunt Camps include a Family Weekend because a veteran’s challenges affect partners and children too. Bringing families into the community helps strengthen relationships and supports healing across the household.
